It's been a busy time over the past wee while. Pay has been relatively good this month and I had the best plans made with what to do with it. It funny though that when you seem to be getting somewhere, something else comes along and pulls the rug from under your feet. My initial plan was to buy a taptop computer for my DJ business, essentially upgrading to a digital dj instead of the '2 decks & a mixer' set-up. The money was just about there but in a sudden twist my sky box in the bedroom has broken down and I'm now £65 out of pocket for an engineer and I know it'll be costing me more cos it ain't a software problem. The bloody thing just refuses to switch on so I can see me having to pay for another new box on-top of the call out charge. Bye bye laptop, it was a good dream while it lasted! With a bit of luck there'll be a little of my hard earned cash left so maybe a new bike could be bought since the current one's given up the ghost.
There is a bit of a treat I've already given myself though. I decided to get a new mobile phone. It didn't cost me anything apart from a new 18 month contract so I'm now the proud owner of a Nokia N95. Haven't had much chance to use it as I'm waiting on my current number being transferred over. Hopefully that'll be sorted by the end of this week.
On the music front. I had enquiries for gigs at Christmas both were in 15th December. Unfortunately I'm flying out to Australia on the 13th. Or well I'm supposed to be. Joseph's thinking we'll need around £2,500 each for the trip and neither of us have got that kind of cash lying around. Joseph was hinting on forgetting the whole thing but I've told him not to give up without trying first. I'll have a better reliance on dj gigs provided I pass my driving test next month. If that's successful then I've no worries on the cash front. I might even be able to pay for both of us with a bit of hard work, exhausting but worth it.
